Mike is a trusted advisor and senior executive with 25+ years’ experience as a Cleantech CEO and CFO, investment banker, financial services executive and lawyer.

Mike has been involved in leading transactions for his entire career. Mike began his career as a corporate/securities lawyer with Canadian law firm McCarthy Tetrault. After six years at McCarthys, Mike joined investment bank Raymond James Canada where he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility including VP Corporate Development, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Managing Director (Investment Banking), and Executive Vice President (Capital Markets). After eight years with Raymond James, Mike joined Nexterra Systems Corp, a private equity-funded Cleantech company, as SVP Corporate Development and was subsequently promoted to CEO. Under Mike’s leadership as CEO from 2011 to 2016 Nexterra delivered numerous energy-from-waste projects in North America and also expanded internationally, securing several multi-million dollar energy projects in the United Kingdom. From 2019 to 2023, Mike was the CFO of Terramera, Inc., a private equity-funded Agtech company. At Terramera, Mike was responsible for raising over US$60M of debt and equity capital.
